8th August - 1985 . . 32 years ago . . the day I returned to Zim, darling, remember? The day you and I started our journey together to become "we". The day you wrote about in a card as 'one of the best days of my life and has been an absolute pleasure since'. I still have that card my love. You wrote it on 3 October - eight weeks on from my 'very welcome return home'. Our journey together transformed my life - even Warren commented on that in his tribute at your Service. We had the odd hiccup or two along the way - who doesn't? - but we also had the wonderful, happy, hilarious, crazy and at times totally ridiculous moments en route, and I wouldn't have missed any of them for the world! 32 years of happy days, happy memories, love, laughter, hugs and tears, 28 of them in "wedded bliss"! Thank you, my love, for them all, but especially for being you, for being there and - most of all - for loving me every step of the way. xx
